Reaching Customers Without Physical Boats

Saxdor Digital Showroom

The Challenge

The Limits of Physical Boat Availability

Saxdor Yachts operates globally across diverse international markets. With 150 locations on five continents across its dealer network, it is unrealistic to have every yacht model physically available in each location. As a result, consistent product presentation is impossible and sales cycles are long.

Insight

Custom Products Sold as Fixed Experiences

Yachts are sold as highly customizable products, but traditionally presented as fixed models. This mismatch has made configuring, comparing and committing to a purchase slow, expensive and resource-heavy for both customers and dealers, especially at a global scale.

Approach

Proving a New Way to Launch and sell Yachts

Instead of waiting for a finished boat, Saxdor decided to challenge the industry norm by launching the 460 GTC virtually at the world’s most prestigious yachting event, the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The goal was not to create a demo, but to prove that a yacht can be explored, modified, understood and purchased digitally before it exists physically.

"The goal was not to replicate a physical showroom in 3D, but to create a functional digital twin that supports product launches and sales before physical production.”

Solution

Saxdor Digital Showroom

Saxdor adopted Younite Virtual Showroom, deployed as “Saxdor Digital Showroom,” to enable hyper-realistic boat exploration through curated, guided digital experiences across its global network.

The solution allows Saxdor’s dealer network to present every model digitally, even before production is complete, creating an accurate and engaging experience that supports both sales teams and customers throughout the buying process.

Rather than a traditional 3D configurator, the Virtual Showroom functions as a persistent digital twin of the product portfolio. It combines photorealistic 3D visualization, real-time configuration, and product data into a continuously evolving service platform, enabling yachts to be presented, sold, and developed digitally before they exist physically, at a global and scalable level.

Built on cloud-based real-time rendering and pixel streaming, the Virtual Showroom delivers cinematic visual quality and real-time interaction directly to iPad devices without requiring high-end local hardware. Combined with AI-powered conversational configuration, this creates a portable, scalable, and globally accessible model for product presentation.

Erna Rusi

CEO, Saxdor Yachts

"We have 150 locations on five continents through our dealer network. It is unrealistic to expect a demo boat of each model in every location. When customers want to experience a boat before purchasing, the Digital Showroom enables them to do so.”

ADDITIONAL Impact

Beyond Sales and Physical Availability

Saxdor Digital Showroom is no longer just a sales tool. It is now central to how Saxdor presents its fleet physically.

Saxdor has launched a physical showroom in Helsinki that relies entirely on the Digital Showroom to present its product portfolio. Without any physical boats on site, customers can explore, configure, and compare models digitally in hyper-realistic detail, demonstrating that the Digital Showroom can fully replace physical product availability.

By removing the dependency on physical boats, Saxdor can present its full fleet realistically without tying capital to demo boats, showcase models that are not yet in production, and explore new concepts and configurations digitally. This has created a scalable model for launching, selling, and developing yachts globally, marking a shift toward a digital-first yachting experience.

Jon Hautamäki

Commercial Development Director, Saxdor Yachts

"Dealers love it. The feedback has been great. It's the future of yacht sales.”
